82 Catholic Leaders Oppose Clarity Act's BRCA Provision on Human Trafficking Concerns

According to Punchbowl News, 82 Catholic leaders sent a letter to Senate leaders on Tuesday opposing the Blockchain Regulatory Certainty Act (BRCA) section of the Clarity Act, warning it could enable human trafficking and money laundering financing. The religious leaders, coordinated by the Alliance to End Human Trafficking, argued the BRCA exemption for decentralized software developers 'may make it more difficult to responsibly monitor illicit financial activity tied to trafficking, organized crime, child exploitation, sanctions evasion, and other forms of abuse.'
