According to Bank of America Managing Director Michael Widmer, the bank maintained its 12-month gold price target of $6,000 per ounce on May 26, citing near-term pressure from declining U.S. rate-cut expectations.

Despite short-term headwinds related to inflation repricing and interest rate expectations, the bank reiterated its bullish long-term outlook, supported by continued central bank purchases, rising investor demand, and weakening economic growth indicators.
