Taiwan stocks officially broke through the 40,000-point threshold. MediaTek (2454) hit the limit-up right at the open and locked there. Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) (2330), the “National Treasure Mountain,” reached as high as NT$2,285, also up nearly 7%, driving Taiwan stocks to set another record high.
South Korea’s Kopsi index also rose by nearly 4%, setting a new all-time high.

Benefiting from strong quarterly reports from major tech companies such as Apple Inc., market expectations for the Artificial Intelligence industry have warmed up again.
