According to Foresight News, BNB Chain released its H2 2026 technical roadmap in July, announcing three core objectives: doubling mainnet throughput with a long-term goal of 10x improvement, reducing inter-application interference through advanced resource isolation, and optimizing gas fee structures for enterprise users. Implementation includes BEP-675, dedicated lanes, and parallel execution based on BAL.
In H1 2026, BSC compressed block intervals from 750ms to 450ms, reduced finality time from 1,125ms to 650ms, and increased baseline throughput from approximately 2,800 TPS to 5,200 TPS. The BSC Rust client achieved full Reth v2.0 compatibility with 2x performance gains. BNB Chain is also developing a next-generation L1 architecture targeting 100,000+ TPS and sub-50ms transaction pre-confirmation, planned for testnet in late 2026 and mainnet launch in early 2027.
