Buffett and Curry Charity Lunch Auction Closes at $9.001M; Buffett Pledges Additional Matching Donation for $27M Total

According to BlockBeats, Warren Buffett and NBA star Stephen Curry jointly hosted a charity lunch auction that closed on May 14 at $9.001 million. The winning bidder, whose identity remains undisclosed, can bring up to seven guests to lunch with Buffett and the Curry couple in Omaha before June 24. This marks the first auction since Buffett relaunched his annual charity lunch initiative in 2022.

Proceeds will be equally split between Glide Foundation and Eat. Learn. Play., the foundation founded by the Curry family. Buffett committed to matching the auction proceeds with additional donations to both organizations, bringing the total charitable contribution to approximately $27 million.
