China and U.S. Reach Consensus on Agricultural Trade on May 21, Agree to Expand Bilateral Cooperation

According to China's Ministry of Commerce spokesperson He Yadong on May 21, the U.S. and China have reached a series of positive consensus through recent economic and trade consultations to resolve non-tariff barriers and market access issues for certain agricultural products. The two countries have provisionally agreed to include relevant products in an equivalently reduced tariff framework and set guidance targets for expanding bilateral agricultural trade. Both sides committed to creating favorable conditions for two-way agricultural trade cooperation.
