China to Enhance Cross-Border Service Trade Framework, Expand Telecom and Tech Sector Openness on May 26

According to Deputy Commerce Minister Yan Dong at a press briefing on May 26, China will enhance its cross-border service trade negative list framework and expand self-directed openness in telecom, internet, education, culture, and medical services sectors. The country will pilot increased openness in value-added telecom, biotechnology, and wholly foreign-owned hospitals, while ensuring foreign investors gain both market entry and operational access in opened sectors.
