China's Top Coke Producers Raise Prices by 50-55 Yuan/Ton Starting June 26

According to Guru Club, China's major coke producers launched their ninth price increase on June 24, raising metallurgical coke prices by 50 yuan per ton for wet-quenched coke and 55 yuan per ton for dry-quenched coke, effective from June 26 at 00:00. The price hike was driven by tight supply of low-sulfur premium coking coal, which has kept production costs elevated. Coke supply is tightening as producers reduce purchases of high-cost raw materials; meanwhile, steel mill coke inventories have declined and purchasing demand remains strong.
