According to Jin10, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Turkmenistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Serdar Meredov on May 27 in New York. Meredov expressed gratitude for China's invitation to a UN Security Council high-level meeting and praised the recent successful visit of Turkmenistan's leader. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to the comprehensive strategic partnership, noting deep political trust and frequent high-level exchanges. Meredov stated Turkmenistan is willing to advance cooperation on natural gas development and expand trade and connectivity projects with China.
