According to Citrini Research, on June 27, the research firm issued a report warning that despite discussions around AI-driven bottlenecks in data centers and power infrastructure, AI investment has become overcrowded. Concentrated focus on AI has led to underallocation in other sectors, potentially triggering capital rotation toward forgotten themes.
The report highlights five overlooked investment areas: life sciences cycles, senior housing and assisted living, fintech revival, airlines, and related sectors experiencing forced selling. Citrini Research noted that excessive brain power and model resources channeled into the single AI narrative risk capital reallocation to these neglected areas.
