CME Group CEO Plans to Sue U.S. CFTC Over Perpetual Contracts

According to Foresight News, CME Group CEO Terrence Duffy announced plans to sue the U.S. CFTC over perpetual contracts during a recent CNBC appearance. Under the Dodd-Frank Act, perpetual contracts are classified as swaps, and as CME has exclusive licensing agreements with all major benchmark providers, all such products must be traded through CME and listed as swap contracts.
