DeepSeek Raises 51 Billion Yuan in Series A, Tencent Leads; Valuation Reaches 400 Billion Yuan

According to Enterprise Check, DeepSeek, a Shanghai-based AI research company, raised approximately 51 billion yuan in Series A financing on June 17, with an enterprise valuation of 400 billion yuan. Founders and major tech companies participated in the round, including founder Liang Wenfeng (approximately 20 billion yuan), Tencent (approximately 10 billion yuan), JD.com, NetEase, CATL and its investment arm Puquan Capital, Monolith Capital, and IDG Capital. The funding underscores strong institutional backing for DeepSeek's AI infrastructure development.
