According to The Block, the Ethereum Foundation is standardizing Clear Signing security solution on May 13, establishing a public registry for submitting contract descriptors and designating ERC-7730 as the shared format. Clear Signing replaces blind signing by allowing users to read human-readable transaction descriptions before approval—for example, displaying “swap 100 USDC for 0.05 ETH on Uniswap” instead of opaque hexadecimal data. The foundation is hosting tooling to support the initiative. Wallets can retrieve verified descriptors from the registry to display clearly to users.
