Fed Holds Rates Steady in April With 99.5% Probability, CME Data Shows

Gate News message, April 16 — According to CME’s Fed Watch tool, the probability of the Federal Reserve maintaining rates unchanged in April stands at 99.5%, with only a 0.5% chance of a 25 basis point rate hike.

Looking ahead to June, the CME data indicates a 98% probability that the Fed will hold rates steady, a 1.4% chance of a cumulative 25 basis point rate cut, and a 0.5% probability of a cumulative 25 basis point rate hike.
