According to Bloomberg, on May 26, former New York Federal Reserve President William Dudley warned that the Federal Reserve's credibility as an "inflation fighter" is at risk of being lost, given its failure to meet the 2% inflation target for over five years. "We have been above the Fed's inflation target for more than five years, and there is a risk that inflation expectations could eventually become unanchored," Dudley said.
