France Requires Consent to Lift UN Sanctions on Iran, on June 19

According to French Foreign Minister Barreau, on June 19, France must consent to any lifting of UN sanctions on Iran as a permanent member of the UN Security Council. In an interview with French Radio News, Barreau stated that following the US-Iran memorandum of understanding, Iran must make significant concessions on nuclear programs, ballistic missiles, regional security, and the Strait of Hormuz before France approves sanctions relief.
