Google and Blackstone Create AI Cloud Company with $5B Investment, Targeting CoreWeave

According to the Wall Street Journal, Alphabet’s Google and Blackstone announced on Monday the creation of an AI cloud company centered on Google’s custom chips to compete with CoreWeave and other rivals. Blackstone will invest $5 billion in equity capital and hold a majority stake in the new venture.
