Google, Meta, TikTok, and Alibaba Commit to Fighting Illegal Wildlife Trade Online

According to Reuters, during London Climate Action Week, Google, Meta, TikTok, and Alibaba pledged to strengthen efforts against illegal wildlife trafficking by improving detection and removal of illicit trade information on their platforms. The companies plan to deploy artificial intelligence to identify and prevent such activities.

Meanwhile, Vodafone, Vodacom, and Safaricom announced plans to integrate AI-powered anti-money laundering and transaction monitoring mechanisms into the M-Pesa mobile payment platform.
