According to Crypto In America, Republican Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina died on July 12, narrowing the GOP's Senate majority amid ongoing efforts to advance the CLARITY Act. An updated version of the legislation is expected to be released this week. Combined with Senator Mitch McConnell's continued absence due to illness, the narrowed Republican advantage increases pressure on the bill to secure the 60 votes needed for passage.

Galaxy Digital's research head Alex Thorn previously lowered the probability of the bill passing this year to 50%, warning that the next four weeks represent the final window for passage in the current Congress.
