Hezbollah Leader Vows Response to Ceasefire Violations, Outlines Five-Point Reconstruction Plan

Gate News message, April 18 — Hezbollah leader Naim Kassem delivered remarks on the evening of April 18, stating that the organization will respond to any violations of the Israel-Lebanon ceasefire agreement by either party. Kassem emphasized that the ceasefire must be upheld by both sides and outlined a five-point agenda for the next phase.

The five key items include: permanent cessation of Israeli aggression throughout Lebanese territory; withdrawal of Israeli forces from occupied lands; release of detainees; return of residents to their homes; and reconstruction of Lebanon with responsibility borne by the Lebanese state and support from Arab nations and the international community.

Kassem expressed Hezbollah’s willingness to cooperate with Lebanese authorities at the highest level on a new foundation to achieve national sovereignty and preserve national unity.
