According to Times of India, an Indian doctor in Guntur recently lost approximately 1.3 billion Indian rupees ($1.5 million) in a cryptocurrency investment fraud scheme. The scammer used fake platforms to promote high returns, displaying false profit data to gain the victim’s trust. When attempting withdrawals, the platform began delaying or refusing to process transactions. Police have registered a case and are investigating the fund flows, digital wallets, and suspected organized cross-border fraud networks involved.
