INTC-2.27%
According to CNBC, Intel reported second-quarter results on Thursday that significantly exceeded expectations, with adjusted earnings per share of 42 cents versus 21 cents expected and revenue of $16.1 billion versus $14.42 billion expected. The chipmaker's 25% revenue growth marked its fastest quarter since the third quarter of 2011. CEO Lip-Bu Tan attributed the performance to artificial intelligence demand, stating "AI is driving unprecedented demand for compute," as strong sales of server processors propelled the company's growth.
