Iran Expected to Submit Revised Peace Proposal Within Days, Trump Rejects Earlier Version

GateNews

Gate News message, April 28 — Iran is expected to submit a revised peace proposal within the coming days aimed at ending the conflict, according to sources familiar with the mediation process. The move comes after U.S. President Trump rejected an earlier version submitted last weekend.

The earlier Iranian proposal prioritized ending the war first while deferring contentious issues related to Iran’s nuclear program to later stages. Trump signaled he would not accept this approach. Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi is expected to return to Tehran following his visit to Russia, where he is anticipated to consult with the country’s leadership on the revised proposal.

The diplomatic process remains in flux and heavily dependent on whether Iran will present a version more acceptable to the United States. Progress has been slow due to difficulties in communicating with Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, whose whereabouts are being kept confidential.
