According to Al Jazeera, Iran’s negotiating team received five preconditions that must be met before discussing nuclear issues, a source familiar with Iran-U.S. negotiations confirmed on May 13. The conditions are: (1) end all conflicts on all fronts; (2) lift all sanctions; (3) unfreeze frozen assets; (4) compensate for war losses; (5) recognize Iran’s sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz.
