Gate News message, April 19 — Iran has begun using Bitcoin for oil transit fee settlements through the Strait of Hormuz, according to sources familiar with the arrangement.

However, stablecoins continue to handle the majority of actual fund transfers in these transactions. While Bitcoin is employed in the payment framework, stablecoins remain the primary mechanism for real-time fund settlement.
