Iran's Foreign Minister Says Strait of Hormuz Will Be Fully Supervised by Iran for 30 Days

According to Al Jazeera, Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on June 28 that the Strait of Hormuz will be fully supervised and managed by Iran for the next 30 days. Araghchi, visiting Iraq, stated that Iran has signed a memorandum of understanding with the U.S., and added that all navigation capacity in the waterway will be restored once obstacles are removed. He emphasized that Iran bears sole responsibility for the strait, and any third-party interference or unilateral action would worsen the situation and delay the waterway's reopening.
