Israel Maintains Military Presence in Lebanon's South Under New Three-Party Framework Agreement

According to Israeli officials, the United States, Israel, and Lebanon signed a three-party framework agreement overnight to establish security arrangements in southern Lebanon. Under the accord, Israel will maintain military forces in a unilaterally designated security zone until Hezbollah disarms. Israeli forces will retain operational freedom within the zone to address potential threats. In two additional regions outside the security zone, Israel will gradually withdraw and Lebanon's government forces will assume control.
