Israeli Special Forces Cross Litani River Into Southern Lebanon on May 12

According to Israeli sources, Israeli special forces units crossed the Litani River into southern Lebanon on May 12, advancing into areas approximately 10 kilometers from the Israeli border. The Israeli military stated that the Egoz Unit and reconnaissance troops from the Golani Brigade conducted operations in a village outside this region over the past week, in an area previously used by Hezbollah for launching rockets and mortars toward Israeli positions.
