Kleros Founder Proposes 10% Ethereum Validator Redirect Rate for Infrastructure Funding

ETH0.78%

According to Bitcoin.com News, Kleros founder Clément Lesaege proposed a protocol-level Ethereum staking redirect rate of up to 10% to fund joint infrastructure development. The mechanism would allow validators to direct a portion of their staking income to organizations managing ecosystem funds, requiring validator majority approval before becoming mandatory network-wide.

The proposal has faced community criticism on social media. Via Network's Romano called the redirect mechanism a "tax," questioning the value delivered to the ecosystem by existing infrastructure investments.
