Major Investment Banks Forecast Fed Rate Cuts Starting in September, 25 Basis Points Each

According to multiple investment banks cited by ChainCatcher, Wells Fargo and ING both predict the Federal Reserve will cut rates by 25 basis points each in September and December. Australia and New Zealand Banking Group expects the rate-cut cycle to resume in the third quarter, while Goldman Sachs and Barclays say the Fed will ease policy around September if inflation declines. Bank of America forecasts total cuts could reach 50 basis points.
