According to Crypto in America, major U.S. crypto industry associations are urging the Senate to advance votes on the Clarity Act on July 24, though the bill currently lacks the 60 votes needed for procedural approval. The latest 616-page bill text has been endorsed by Digital Chamber, Crypto Council for Innovation, and Blockchain Association, which believe it strengthens efforts against illicit funding and establishes the first federal consumer protection framework for the crypto market.
However, key Democratic senators including Angela Alsobrooks and Mark Warner have indicated the bill falls short on ethical standards and anti-money laundering measures and cannot yet support it. The Senate has only nine working days remaining before its August recess to advance the vote, while disputes persist over stablecoin incentives, federal and state taxation, compliance, and DeFi regulation.
