According to Hamas spokesman Hazim Qassim, on May 30, Hamas condemned Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu's statement claiming Israel would expand control over Gaza to approximately 70% of the territory. Netanyahu announced on May 28 that Israel already controls 60% of Gaza and has ordered the expansion of the controlled area. The Hamas statement called on relevant international bodies to take action and enforce Israeli compliance with ceasefire agreement terms.
