Oman Reaffirms Free Strait of Hormuz Transit; Iran Waives 60-Day Port Application Fees

According to Oman's Foreign Minister Badr, on the evening of June 22, Oman reiterated its commitment to ensuring free and safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz, following discussions with Iran's parliamentary speaker Kalibaev in Muscat regarding the recent U.S.-Iran memorandum of understanding.

Iran's Supreme National Security Council announced on June 18 that the government will waive application fees for commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz for 60 days, with Tehran covering all associated costs, according to the terms outlined in the bilateral memorandum.
