Optical Communication Stocks Tumble on June 23; AXTI Falls 10.1%, FOTO ETF Down 5.45% in U.S. Pre-Market

AXTI Inc., a supplier of optical chip materials (InP and GaAs substrates), fell 10.1%, marking the largest decline among major players. Photonics ETF FOTO dropped 5.45%, while other key names also declined: Marvell Technology (MRVL), championed by Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, fell 8.6%; Lumentum Holdings (LITE), a core supplier of optical modules for AI data centers, fell 6.6%; and Coherent Corp.
