Philippine Senate Enters Lockdown Amid Arrest Attempt, Gunshots Heard on May 13

According to CCTV News, the Philippine Senate entered lockdown on May 13 evening as National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) personnel attempted to arrest Senator Ronald “Bato” de la Rosa. Military-armed personnel were deployed inside the chamber, and continuous gunshots were heard from within the building.

Security personnel were observed wearing body armor as the lockdown proceeded.
