According to TheStreet, Gerber Kawasaki Wealth & Investment Management CEO Ross Gerber blamed President Donald Trump for Bitcoin's decline, calling his venture into digital assets a "grift." The criticism came after filings revealed Trump profited $1.2 billion from crypto businesses in 2025, including holdings in TRUMP meme coin, World Liberty Financial (WLFI), Bitcoin, and Ethereum. Gerber cited a Wall Street Journal report citing Nansen data showing roughly two-thirds of 1.48 million TRUMP coin investors and 85% of WLFI token investors face losses. TRUMP coin crashed from its January 2025 all-time high of $73.43 to $1.71, down 97%, while WLFI fell from $0.3313 to $0.0579, a decline of 80%.
