Ryan Salame's Wife Faces Four Counts for $400K FTX Campaign Donations

According to Cointelegraph, Michelle Bond, wife of former FTX executive Ryan Salame, faces four criminal counts for allegedly using FTX funds to finance her 2022 congressional campaign. A Manhattan federal judge has rejected her bid to dismiss the charges, allowing the case to proceed.

Prosecutors allege Bond obtained $400,000 through a consulting agreement with FTX and received additional hundreds of thousands of dollars from Salame to illegally fund campaign activities while concealing the funds' source and making false statements to the Federal Election Commission. Each count carries a maximum sentence of five years imprisonment.
