Singtel's RE:AI Partners with Mistral AI to Develop AI Infrastructure in Singapore

Gate News message, April 27 — Singtel Group announced that RE:AI, its Singapore-based digital infrastructure unit, has partnered with Mistral AI to support AI capabilities for industries in Singapore.

The partnership will focus on co-developing AI infrastructure and solutions for financial services, healthcare, and government sectors, combining RE:AI’s cloud capabilities with Mistral AI’s open-source models. The companies plan to establish an Applied AI Centre of Excellence to develop and test enterprise use cases, including applications for customer service and network operations.

RE:AI operates as a sovereign AI cloud platform designed to keep data onshore in Singapore, powered by NVIDIA GB200 NVL72 chips. Singtel has already deployed an AI customer service assistant named Shirley, which understands local expressions including Singlish. In its first six weeks of operation, Shirley handled more than 70,000 customer cases.
