South Korea Launches $412M Fund for AI and High-Tech Sectors Starting May 22

According to Yonhap, South Korea’s government will launch a fund of 600 billion won (US$412 million) from May 22 to June 11 to channel more loans to companies in AI and other high-tech sectors. The fund will support firms in AI, rechargeable batteries, hydrogen, biotechnology, and related fields through banks and brokerages. The government will absorb more of any investment losses while imposing some limits on investor gains.
