On Tuesday, the S&P 500 index fell 0.6% and the U.S. dollar strengthened amid reports that Iranian officials declined to attend talks and Vice President JD Vance postponed a planned trip to Pakistan. Meanwhile, futures in Sydney, Tokyo, and Hong Kong declined.
