SpaceX Rebrands xAI to SpaceXAI, Files Orbital Computing Trademark Ahead of $1.75T IPO

According to trademark filings with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence company xAI is being folded into SpaceX under a new brand, SpaceXAI. The rebrand encompasses satellite-based data centers, orbital computing, cloud computing, and AI workload management through space-based platforms. Musk confirmed xAI would dissolve as a separate company, with AI products operating under SpaceXAI with its own logo.

The move coincides with SpaceX’s major compute agreement with Anthropic, where the AI company will lease capacity from SpaceX’s Colossus 1 supercomputer in Memphis, Tennessee, gaining access to over 300 megawatts of power and more than 220,000 Nvidia GPUs. Analysts estimate the Anthropic deal could generate $3 billion to $6 billion in annual revenue for SpaceX. The rebrand arrives as SpaceX prepares for a reported IPO valued as high as $1.75 trillion.

This move coincided with a major computing power agreement between SpaceX and Anthropic. Under the agreement, the AI company will lease computing power from SpaceX’s Colossus 1 supercomputer in Memphis, Tennessee, obtaining more than 300 megawatts of power and the computing capacity of more than 220,000 Nvidia GPUs. Analysts estimate that this deal could bring SpaceX annual revenue of between $3 billion and $6 billion. At the time of the renaming, SpaceX was preparing for an initial public offering (IPO) reportedly valued at up to $1.75 trillion.
