Tempo Proposes TIP-1061 to Introduce Multi-Signature Accounts as Native Protocol Feature

SAFE-4.81%
According to ChainCatcher, Layer 1 blockchain Tempo has proposed TIP-1061 to introduce multi-signature accounts as a native protocol-level account type, eliminating the need for external smart contract wallets like Safe. The proposal supports M/N multi-signature, weighted multi-signature, and multiple signature schemes including Secp256k1, P256, and WebAuthn. Accounts maintain their address even as member composition and permissions are adjusted. The proposal targets DAOs, institutions, and validators and is currently in draft stage.
