Tencent Negotiates $2 Billion Buyback of AI Agent Firm Manus from Meta

According to Southern Metropolis Daily, Tencent is negotiating to become the largest shareholder of AI Agent company Manus, with Chinese capital consortium planning to acquire Meta's full stake at approximately $2 billion valuation on July 11. Tencent did not respond to requests for comment as of publication.

According to sources familiar with the deal, Tencent will maintain minority shareholder status post-transaction but will not hold controlling stake in the company.
