Trump Administration Unveils Fourth Round of Medicare Drug Price Negotiation Plan

On June 12, the Trump administration proposed the fourth round of Medicare drug price negotiation rules (RIN 0938-AV90), which will significantly reduce prescription drug prices covered by Medicare Parts B and D. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) is proposing modifications to policies on certain new combination drugs, with the final rule expected to be released in the fall. The new negotiated prices are scheduled to take effect in 2029.
