According to Jin10, UK Reform Party leader Nigel Farage called for an early parliamentary election on June 22, saying he is prepared to drive "radical change." Earlier that day, Labour Party leader Sir Keir Starmer announced his resignation as party leader but will continue as Prime Minister until a successor is chosen. Starmer said the Labour National Executive Committee will set a timetable for the party leadership election, with nominations opening on July 9.
