According to Odaily, U.S. House Agriculture Committee Chair Glenn Thompson and committee members sent a letter to President Trump on May 18, urging him to quickly nominate the full five-member U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) board. The CFTC is currently led by Chair Michael Selig alone. The letter states that if the CLARITY Act passes, the CFTC will face significant rulemaking tasks, making a complete leadership team essential to address pressing regulatory issues. Trump has not yet announced any CFTC nominations, which would require Senate approval over weeks or months.
