Gate News message, April 21 — Iran denied requesting a ceasefire extension early on April 22, dismissing U.S. President Trump’s proposal to extend the truce. An advisor to Iran’s Islamic Parliament speaker said on social media that Trump’s proposed extension is “meaningless” and that “the loser has no right to set conditions.”
The advisor further stated that “continued blockade and bombing are equivalent” and “must be met with military response.” He accused Trump of using the extension proposal as a pretext to “buy time for launching strikes,” adding that “now is the time when Iran holds the upper hand.”
