According to Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and US President Donald Trump, the USA and Iran announced a peace agreement on June 14-15, 2026, ending a four-month conflict. The deal sets out three core commitments: an immediate ceasefire, lifting of the US naval blockade on Iranian ports, and reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, which carries approximately 20% of the world's daily oil supply. A formal signing ceremony is scheduled for June 19 in Switzerland.

Oil prices fell approximately 33%, retreating from around $120 per barrel to $80 per barrel following the announcement. Bitcoin surged above $65,000, with intraday peaks between $65,500 and $65,800, reflecting improved investor risk appetite in response to easing geopolitical pressure.
