According to BlockBeats, on May 28, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin recommended The Interfold, describing it as a universal implementation of MACI (minimal anti-collusion infrastructure) optimized for voting and secret auction scenarios. Vitalik stated the protocol employs threshold encryption, zero-knowledge proofs, fully homomorphic encryption (FHE), and threshold decryption to ensure voter anonymity, Ethereum-level censorship resistance, and result correctness. Current limitations include high computational costs for complex operations such as multiplication; addition-based vote tallying is mature, with ongoing optimization efforts. The long-term goal is to implement obfuscation techniques to eliminate M-of-N committee dependencies.
