Gate News message, April 17 — Real-world asset (RWA) activity on the XRP Ledger has surged approximately 875% in recent months, driving total tokenized value to roughly $2.3–$2.5 billion, according to market analyst JRCyptex. The network now supports over 100 tokenized assets, including treasury-backed products, credit instruments, and institutional-grade stablecoins.
The growth is being driven by expanding institutional interest in tokenized finance. Traditional financial players are increasingly adopting blockchain rails for faster settlement, improved liquidity management, and lower operational costs. Stablecoins like USDC and RLUSD, issued natively on the XRP Ledger, are playing a key role by delivering regulated, enterprise-grade liquidity while preserving the speed and efficiency of on-chain settlement.
However, scaling tokenized markets globally faces a significant hurdle: regulatory fragmentation. RippleX executives have noted that without clear and consistent frameworks across jurisdictions, institutional adoption could remain fragmented. Despite this challenge, the current momentum suggests the XRP Ledger is positioning itself as a major hub in the multi-trillion-dollar RWA market.
